Prices are listed on the Visit Us page

Do you have any facilities?

We have a clubhouse with a log-burning stove, a kitchen, an unheated swimming pool, a facilities block with hot showers, and a superb sauna. For your amusement, we have a petanque piste, a pool table and a range of board games.

How do I work out the cost of visiting Solway?

There is a full list of prices on the visit us page.

Do you have electric hook up?

The club is off grid so there is no mains electricity. We use solar power and have 12v charging points for phones etc. The club caravans have solar powered electricity with USB charging points, the showers run on gas, the sauna has a wood burning stove and so does the clubhouse. The kitchen has a full-size gas cooker and a Small fridge.

 Do you allow touring caravans?

Unfortunately, council restriction forbids touring caravans from visiting temporarily, but if you choose to join the club you may apply for a pitch to permanently site your touring caravan, or you may choose to purchase a static caravan when you become a full member.

Do you allow dogs on site?

Dogs are allowed, but they must be kept under control. Dogs are not allowed in Club Van 1 or on the main sunbathing lawns, but are allowed in Club Van 2.

Do you have a protection officer?

We have two, so there is usually at least one on site.

 Do you have a bar?

There isn’t a bar; however, we have a heated clubhouse where you can bring your own drinks along.

Can I apply for membership if I stay for a three-day visit?

No - membership can only be applied for after three separate visits.

Naturism Frequently Asked Questions

Is membership of British Naturism compulsory for visitors?

Not until you decide to apply for membership.

Do I have to remove my clothes on arrival?

This is a myth that non-naturists believe; you will find the weather dictates when we take off our clothes! If you are new to naturism you can wait until you feel comfortable about removing your clothes. This usually comes naturally when others around you are naked.

What do I need to bring with me?

We recommend you bring at least two towels: a towel to sit on and a separate one for showering. You may wish to bring an extra towel if you wish to go swimming or use the sauna.  There are shops nearby in Carlisle where you can pick up anything you require.
